On Display at Udvar-Hazy (20APR2012)

These photos were taken during the student “discovery days” at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center, at Dulles Airport, Virginia, on April 20, 2012. The paintings were displayed specifically for the event, and are not on permanent display. I did not manage to write down the names of the artists, but their ages were from 12 to 16 years old, and were from diverse parts of the planet such as Turkey and China.

I have also included two photos of the Discovery in its final location at the museum. If you look near the tail of the aircraft, you will see where there is a hole in the wall to get the Discovery into the building, and let the Enterprise out. There was in fact a guy up there with a paint roller, painting over parts of the hole, as we were touring the exhibits.
