In your many lives through the cycle of duality, you have faced immense challenges and as a result grown all the more at a spiritual level. Now duality such as you have known it is losing its power over you, as it recedes into the background. Yet as you wrestle with its influence upon you, and clear yourself of your links to the lower energies, you are facing a strong challenge. We know it is difficult to throw off attitudes, ideas and beliefs, based on what you have been brought up to believe. However, within you have all knowledge and you should look there for the truth, and do not hesitate to move to a new understanding if you are in any doubt. It was easy in the past to be judgmental because that was how people acted, but now you want to move to a new position where instead you see all souls as part of the One.
Separation was a game the dark Ones played to keep you at each others throats, but now you can refuse to continue living their lie that you are all different. Forget the physical differences, customs and religious beliefs, as behind all of that are beautiful souls of Light exactly as you are. In recognizing the Oneness of everything you are taking your place along side of those ready to move further along the path of Ascension. You know now that your search for perfection is never ending, until you finally return to the Source of All That Is. Yet in your own way you have succeeded in overcoming all attempts to keep you from the truth. You have recognized that you will always be a part of the One Truth of which your contribution is as important as anyone else’s, as without you it would be incomplete.
You may be leaving behind some unfinished business, but that no longer matters as 2012 saw the completion of the cycle of duality. Karmically speaking you will have dealt with your important issues already, and since the Law of Grace operates at such times all is as you might say “forgiven”. You have learnt your lessons that have lifted you up, and made further experiences in duality unnecessary. The year 2013 thus becomes a year of fulfillment, as you establish a new and more meaningful connection with your Higher Self. It means that unlike the past you can tap the fountain of knowledge that your Higher Self holds, and will no longer need to rely on others for your knowledge or understanding.
Have we not told you that you hold all knowledge within. Believe in yourself for guidance and you will know intuitively whether you are making the right decisions. This year will be one of immense gains for you, as you accept the ever flowing stream of high energies that continue to reach Earth. Everything is speeding up even faster, and time will gradually cease to have the same relevance as previously. The next part of your Ascension is with Mother Earth, and with our help to create a new Earth that is befitting souls who are growing exponentially and becoming fully conscious Beings. You will then be able to call yourselves “Galactic Beings” and the doors will open to even greater opportunities than you have ever experienced. Your rate of progress is entirely up to you, and once you have made your decision you will have plenty of help from us.
The most important person on the Earth is you, as it is you who determines where your journey takes you. You choose from the various options available to you, and that is why care is taken to ensure you know what they are. Taking care of yourself and your own needs does not mean that you ignore others, as part of the work of all Lightworkers is to also tend to the needs of others as well. Each soul now has the responsibility to prepare to receive a greater amount of Light, so that their consciousness level keeps expanding. It will keep you firmly on the path to a higher understanding, and help you to continue moving into a higher dimension. The path is there before you and you progress at precisely the speed that suits you. As we have said previously, you are immortal and have all infinity in which to evolve. You are under no pressure to progress except at a rate that you feel comfortable with.
You have done the hard work by releasing most of the lower energies that have tied you to duality. Now you can be more ambitious and set your sights much higher than previously. The effort you have put in since the Millennium, and particularly during the past few years has yielded much success. There is no need to feel that somehow you have failed simply because Ascension did not meet your expectations. It is in fact quite the opposite, as you lifted the vibrations so that incoming energies could be grounded through you. That set the grid in place that is now able to lift you even further and “Love” is taking over, which is your assurance that you will now advance more quickly and receive the advantages of the New Age. The many delays and the many obstructions that the dark Ones used to hold up progress, can no longer be continued. They do not have the power or the organization to do so, and their activities are being recognized for what they really are.
We ask you to continue your life with the same focus that you had before, and think positively as all exists in the “Now” waiting for you to manifest exactly what you desire. At different times you have been given sufficient details to know what to expect, and as the new paradigm takes over you shall have every opportunity to benefit from entering the New Age. The present period of uncertainty will be short lived, and soon you will both notice and feel the changes taking place. What you should register is the result of a general upliftment in consciousness levels, because it will bring about a new attitude and willingness to move your civilization into the New Age with all speed. Accept that some inconvenience is inevitable, as the scale of changes is going to be quite far reaching. However, we of the Galactic Federation are ready as ever, always adjusting our plans according to your coming needs. Once we commence rapid advancement will be made, far beyond anything you are currently able to do.

‘Forcing Change Does Not Work’

The New Age, into which humanity has just entered, is shaping up very well because the divine energies supporting it are strengthening and intensifying daily. You have been promised that enormous changes will take place which will dramatically improve the living-conditions of those who are trapped in abject poverty; and that promise will be honored. New technologies are being rapidly developed that will bring these improvements about. They will also enable new environmentally friendly sources of electrical energy to be deployed that will bring to an end your constant need to drill and mine for fossil fuels.
The Earth is not an appropriate source of fuel for your energy requirements which can very easily be provided by the use of clean methods that, until now, have been suppressed by vested interests, whose aim was to control you by their stranglehold on all your energy supplies – fuel, electricity, water, food, investment through loans, money, and the land itself. When energy, in every form you could possible need, becomes readily and abundantly available, as it will, scarcity will be a thing of the past, for you will have no needs. New, gentle technologies will enable the provision of all that humanity requires to maintain a totally adequate and satisfying living-standard. People will no longer have to spend inordinate amounts of time in the constant struggle for survival in a world in which they are mostly kept in a state of anxiety while buried under the crushing burden of debt.
This may seem like an unlikely dream – especially after the lifetimes of scarcity, hardship, and disease that you have all undergone – but it is one of the most essential aspects of the New Age. It is about changing the illusion from a nightmare of hardship and suffering for the vast majority of humans into a delightful dream where all your needs are abundantly provided for, so that your time can be spent productively and enjoyably in creative ventures for the upliftment and benefit of all on Earth, and for your own continuing spiritual evolvement. You have embraced the divine field of Love enveloping the Earth, and now the results of the acceptance of this marvelous energy field will begin to unfold for you. The spiritual evolution that you are undergoing has led to an enormous change in attitudes that has made your entry into the New Age not only possible, but a reality.
Your choice to release the negative aspects of yourselves that have been the cause of nearly all your suffering was a momentous decision. It seemed that you had to undergo unending conflicts and disagreements among yourselves before you finally decided that those methods of interaction just did not work. A few always ended up controlling the many, but they too lived in constant fear of losing that power and control, and so no one was happy, no one felt safe. There appeared to be no end in sight to the constant hardship of those ever-present struggles by which you attempted to provide security and comfort for yourselves and for your dependent loved ones, while also trying to ensure that your own needs, after you became too old to continue those struggles, were adequately taken care of.
That release of unworkable energies is continuing apace, and for many of you it is very uncomfortable because they had become so ingrained, so much a part of yourselves. It seems to you very natural and completely justified to judge as wrong those whom you can see to be causing pain and suffering to those unable to protect themselves, as has been occurring in so many places across the world, and to desire to prevent them from continuing in their unacceptable ways, and even to punish them as a kind of wake-up call. But Love does not judge or punish; instead, It brings to the attention of those who are misbehaving an intense awareness of the unacceptability of what they are doing and causes them to form a very strong personal rejection of those unloving attitudes and the behaviors to which they have led, and through that awareness release occurs.
People change their ways because they want to change them. Forcing change does not work and is not in conformity with the free will with which you have been so gloriously endowed. God created you free, and all of you experiencing life in the illusion chose to do so for the lessons that you could and would learn here. No one is here against their will, although it often seems to you that vast numbers of humans are suffering unconscionably through no fault of their own.
Their suffering may well be due to no fault that they have committed, but within the illusory environment in which humanity experiences its existence mistakes, errors of judgment, and plain incompetence do bring suffering in their wake. As you have been told, it is a dream state, and in dreams reason and logic do not prevail. Instead, there is confusion and chaos most of the time. The solution is to wake up, and that is what you are in the process of doing by releasing the old ways, attitudes, and behaviors. Stop judging. It is difficult, but it is also essential to the awakening process – you know that this is so – and by praying and meditating with a strong intent you will succeed, as you have always planned to do.

Until then, the dark is being held in check by special Seraphim assigned to this sacred task. As a result we are now busy conferring with our sacred associates on Earth and in Heaven to coordinate what comes next. We have been instructed to carry things out in a certain sequence to assure everyone that the next steps happen without delay. Our liaison personnel have contact all those involved on your world and ensured that a solid communications network exists between all parties. The dark is most frustrated with how little it is able to do and we intend to put them completely out of business at the moment of the selected launch point. The numerous arrests and procedures to hasten and smooth out the affects of the actual launch date are in place. The projected moment is very close. We are ready to act when this moment occurs, so be patient and know that all is ready!
Your planet is completing the preliminaries for a magnetic pole shift that will change your world from a dipolar realm to a true monopolar one. These changes will synchronize the energy fields of Inner Earth with the outer one. Gaia is most relieved that these transformations of her electrical, magnetic, and gravitational fields can happen soon, as they constitute the final preparations for the reunion of her outer and inner realms. Good morning everone, had the day off yesterday, getting spoile with 2 4 day weekend in a row so like a drug addict, I had to take a 3 day weekend to slowly adjust.
Stick, since 12/12/12 AA Michael and other seem to come to me much more easily than in the past, the portals really have opened and good news, since that night of like 10 to 12 nightmares in a row, and the clearing, I have not had one nithmare since then, NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When will the world realize that is we had world peace, the trillions and trillions of daollars used to kill people could be used th feed the world, make sure no one lives in poverty or has to risk their daily live to walk miles to a river just for their daily water.
Air conditioning and running water, shelter and not just some run down hut, cable TV for everyone and dont forget those luxury vacations, for all not just the select few. I would be the first to volumteer to be your waiter, cleaner, anything to make your vacation the very best, and all for free.
I know a lot of people say they want to live simple, but I really enjoy the good things in life we created but only wish all of us has access to it and in the future we will and to those that want to live in the Jungles, in the mountain wilderness well God bless them also, to each his own. However, you too shall have all the enemities of life.
I was watching some show and they said in India, like 38 percent dont have bathrooms in their houses, DOGHOUSE!!!! WHAT!!!! How can that be when they also soend trillions on the war machine. Another thing is when you go and build a city, village, isnt running water and sewarage the first thing you take into account.
I cant wait for all to haveall and no one goes without.

There are definitely some interesting points in that NESARA list. Apparently Boehner is interim president until the constitutional elections can be initiated. The politic folks here in washington are making no new deals, which is for me a pretty good indicator that something big is in the works.
Lisa I would like to think that the day you speak of is a lot closer than we think… I am not sure what impact these changes have globally but the last item on this list seems to be what we need! NESARA implements the following changes:
1. Zeros out all credit card, mortgage, and other bank debt due to illegal banking and government activities. This is the Federal Reserve’s worst nightmare, a “jubilee” or a forgiveness of debt.
2. Abolishes the income tax.
3. Abolishes the IRS. Employees of the IRS will be transferred into the US Treasury national sales tax area.
4. Creates a 14% flat rate non-essential new items only sales tax revenue for the government. In other words, food and medicine will not be taxed; nor will used items such as old homes.

11. Forbids the sale of American birth certificate records as chattel property bonds by the US Department of Transportation.
12. Initiates new U.S. Treasury Bank System in alignment with Constitutional Law
13. Eliminates the Federal Reserve System. During the transition period the Federal Reserve will be allowed to operate side by side of the U.S. treasury for one year in order to remove all Federal Reserve notes from the money supply.
14. Restores financial privacy.
15. Retrains all judges and attorneys in Constitutional Law.
16. Ceases all aggressive, U.S. government military actions worldwide.
17. Establishes peace throughout the world.
18. Releases enormous sums of money for humanitarian purposes.
19. Enables the release of over 6,000 patents of suppressed technologies that are being withheld from the public under the guise of national security, including free energy devices, antigravity, and sonic healing machines.
On the flipside this could all just be a big scammoramma… another year, another nickel… if I’m lucky… 😦

I hope you had good holidays with your family and friends, I know I did. Sadly my parents had to go home again to Belgium today. My 5 year old Sarah was screaming and crying when she saw her grandma and grandpa going, because it is again for maybe two years we can’t see them. We have no money to go to Belgium, unless something happens…then it will be another story…
It would be so nice to just open the door and there you are, no plains, no cars to go where you want to go in an instant…wouldn’t that be great…I feel my spiritual hunger is getting bigger and also the void…so I am trying to fill it up with…FOOD 😀 yep…and it is getting me bigger 😀
But I feel that 2013 is going to be different, I just feel it in the air. And because of that little mistake they made to deactivate my blog, now up again, that I saw the light. So I changed the title to Awakening to Arachanai and also changed my background, using my artwork “a new beginning” and the header is from my artwork “ascension” that re-presents me slowly merging with my higher self Arachanai.

We are in the same boat, Lisa. My folks live on the other side of the continent. They came out here to visit over Christmas break but it would be nice to visit with them more often. We can afford airfare over there once every other year. If that. But those airline tickets keep going up in price. To the point where I could pretty much afford to invent my own teleportation system. Minus the brundlefly, of course!!!

For me it has been more than 5 years that I have been to belgium, miss my family a lot. But for now I can’t afford it because every little penny is spent on survival for my family. I hope in the near future they release technology that doesn’t keep families apart anymore.

Blossom: Well, here we are again! So quickly the days fly by! How would you care to start today? I personally am unsure as to what we shall discuss now. We have spoken of LOVE and we shall keep on speaking of it I guess. It all FEELS a bit odd as to where we go from here and what our mission is!
The Federation of Light: We would enjoy stating quite clearly that our mission is to help you understand who you are! This has the rippling effect of lifting the planet Earth into a Higher resourceful level which will have you ALL KNOWING that LIFE … LIFE IN ALL ITS GLORY … gets a whole lot better than you currently think it can be.
We have watched energies deplete over the last weeks of your time. Some have felt the need to retreat into a corner. They have a need to put a blanket over their head and never again emerge … so strong was their disappointment of ‘nothing’ taking place on the date that they had focused ‘their life’ upon. Others have exceeded all expectation of themselves and are experiencing a NEW EARTH. It is THEY themselves that have CHANGED into the next phase of themselves and they are receiving so much joy and wonder from every moment of thought.
There are those too … we would say … much like yourself Blossom … who are in between the two.
Do you see dearest ones … how … THIS TRANSFORMATION IS YOUR OWN PRIVATE JOURNEY?

The Federation of Light: Indeed this is so. Yet it is through each individual ‘doing their bit’ that makes the whole turn around … turn around!
We desire only to uplift. We are aware that many consider US to be the cause of their anxiety … of their disappointed point of view. They put ALL their hope and TRUST into US. From our perspective nothing that we have said has changed direction. ALL that we have offered to you has come from our Greater Knowledge of what is to be/what can be/what will be.
Did we not say to you ‘Expect the unexpected’? And now that which you did not expect has arrived … it is up to each one as to HOW THEY CHOOSE to accept WHAT IS!
It is deep within your BEINGS dearest ones that you can find the TRUTH of what took place. For we say to you … something HUGE DID transpire on the said date that so many of you relied upon.
When one tastes the most glorious of cakes … it is many ingredients that allow the taste to arrive. Yet … what is it that perhaps makes that cake different from most? An ingredient that others have not used before. One that has not been in ‘the mix’ before. We say to you in our TRUTH … you have a new ingredient in your ‘mix’. Some are simply unaware of it, for they did not see it being added into the bowl. Yes … the cake tastes nice … but then it always did. For some they simply at this time refuse to think that this added ingredient could be so subtle. They choose to think that it is not there at all.
Yet … there are those that KNOW! They did not see the ingredient being added either … And yet they allow themselves to accept THE FACT that something NEW has been added. And it is this ‘something’ that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. SO VERY DIFFERENT from the way things tasted before. As this cake is eaten and digested … it is then that the real affect shall begin to shine. Be patient with yourselves dearest ones. All in good time.
Blossom: Mmm! I don’t think that last statement will go down too well with many!
The Federation of Light: Yet we would suggest that one looks at it in its TRUTH.
Blossom: Being patient is something those of us down here FEEL we have done a lot of … and some have lost the will to carry on.
The Federation of Light: To carry on what?
Blossom: To carry on believing.
The Federation of Light: In what?
Blossom: In you.
The Federation of Light: Yet we are not here for a popularity contest dearest ones. Those whose patience has run dry and through the process have decided we are of no use to them are simply choosing to take another path at this time.
Blossom: Yes … I get that … but surely one is wanting more people to ‘get your messages’ as opposed to having those that were once so keen … turn away
Blossom … it matters not to us how another chooses to walk their journey. All we desire is that they find the LOVE within themselves in order to create the world that everyone desires to live in. We cannot ‘Take hold’ of another’s ambitions and dreams and expect them to always ‘Do it our way’. That would certainly not be of our choosing.
We desire for a soul to find their own TRUTH through whatever way ‘Floats their boat’.
Blossom: Yet … surely … it is desirable for more and more to be ‘tuned into you’?
The Federation of Light: Why?
Blossom: Because then we can manifest our union with greater ease … and more quickly.
The Federation of Light: Yet … what we are doing is … what we are doing.
In the same way you choose to continue to communicate with us … we continue to communicate with you … because we FEEL it is beneficial to the whole … to the upliftment of mankind and indeed your planet. We cannot control the outcome of anything. Each individual is in control of their own outcome. This NEW WAY shall become more and more apparent to each as they allow themselves to flow with the NEW ENERGIES.
Some may FEEL that this CHANGE … this form of Enlightenment only happened to a select few. This we would say is not how it was. We would say that each one … no matter what stage of your journey you are upon/within … received a GREATER LIGHT energy into their BEING.
Just because it did not come the way one ‘expected’ does not mean it did not happen. Yet until one is fully complete in their distinction between the old and the new … they will take a little time to discover their new reality. Yet … discover it they will.
Little by little one will notice the subtleties that are occurring. One will recognise that they no longer are concerned with trivialities that once consumed them. They are FEELING the bigger picture … simply by complying with the FEELING … the KNOWING … that a CHANGE has occurred … within them. Inside of themselves.
There is a combination of ‘seeing’ and ‘understanding’ that is moving one into a place of ‘Peace’.
For those who were so bitterly disappointed … indeed disillusioned … we continue to have our ‘scouts’ seek them out and offer them upliftment of their very soul. Their dismay is purely temporary … for those who KNOW LIGHT cannot turn away from it … not for long.
What we consider to be of most importance is not that you desire to ‘merge with us’ … although we say without hesitation this shall come about when all is in place.
What we desire is that you open your hearts to an even Greater Awareness … of WHAT IS. For within that awareness you discover WHO YOU ARE. Once this is accomplished there shall be little need for anything we say to enhance your journey … for you shall have all knowledge at your fingertips.
Blossom: OK … speaking of journeys … A little matter I would like to bring up with you. Last year I mentioned that I was going to England to visit my mother for the first time in almost 9 years. You made the comment that by then, (this Feb) there may not be the need to even buy a ticket. It was received in the energy of a little ‘tongue in cheek’, yet … clearly … it is blatantly obvious that we are nowhere near that form of advanced transportation. So … that leaves me confused as to why you would say that? … and in all honesty … makes me question the ‘quality’ of my work with you. I’ll be interested to see how you answer this.
The Federation of Light: Dearest Blossom. How we respect your desire for TRUTH. At the time when this was discussed we considered it important for the expectation of NEW WAYS to remain in ones focus. May we say here … we did not say if we recall that this would definitely be the case. Did you believe that it was?
Blossom: No.
The Federation of Light: Then what you believed you have created. We are aware that you are not altogether convinced of our reply.
Blossom: Don’t get me wrong I am a number one fan of ‘thought creating reality’ … Yet for me … I could not see that happening within the time frame … assuming we are talking of teleportation .
The Federation of Light: We wonder then how many FELT the same as you. How many thought ‘well I doubt that … but let’s just wait and see’.
Blossom: Hmm! I am beginning to FEEL where this is going.
The Federation of Light: UPWARDS! Do you not see that it is NOT UP TO US to bring these things about? … IT IS UP TO YOU!
Blossom: You mean by creating the thought of ‘teleportation’ in our mind?
The Federation of Light: Exactly! Yet is it not that you are waiting for us to come and show you how it is done?
Blossom: Well yes …. I can’t even ride a bike that well!
The Federation of Light: Keep with us on this matter for it is of importance. YES … without a shadow of a doubt we have the means … the technology … the where with all … to be exactly where we desire to be in an instant … and for us … we also have the ability to ‘be there’ in whatever form we choose to ‘appear’. As much as this is an incredible phenomenon to you … it is very much matter of fact to us. For like anything … when one understands the workings of … the ‘how’ … then it no longer seems an impossibility. Yet … for you personally Blossom … you do KNOW that this is possible. Is this not so?
Blossom: Sure. Yet no idea HOW it is accomplished.
The Federation of Light: How often do you visualise yourself teleporting to a particular destination?
Blossom: Hardly ever … eh … never! I made a joke about it when on my trip to The States due to the craziness of customs etc.
The Federation of Light: So you admit to not having it within your possible radar?
Blossom: Oh … as I say … I know it is possible , yet I don’t give it much thought … if any! So you are saying then … that all these things that we think YOU are to bring with you concerning ‘out there technology’ … has to be visualised in thought by us first and foremost.
The Federation of Light: Of course. All these things that you are hoping for HAVE TO BECOME A REALITY IN YOUR MIND.
NOT A HOPE … A KNOWING.
Blossom: Yet … thousands of us … if not millions … I have no idea about numbers … think of YOU coming to join us in our reality … and I have to say … I SEE NO SHIPS.
The Federation of Light: Yet many do! The more of you that create our reunion … the quicker it shall come about.
What we are about to say you may find rather odd.
Blossom: And that’s new and different because … ?
The Federation of Light: We ask of you to let go of HOPE.
Yep. That is new and different.
The Federation of Light: HOPE is something that you really WANT to happen. It gives one the FEELING of a CHANGE for the better does it not?’
Blossom: Indeed … so what on Earth do you mean?
The Federation of Light: We mean that we wish you to let go … for instance … of THE HOPE … that we are coming and shall reunite as a family. We ask you to CHANGE HOPE INTO KNOWING that we are coming to reunite as a family. THERE IS A VAST DIFFERENCE … A WORLD APART …. from HOPING AND KNOWING. Do you see?
Blossom: Yes I do. So after all we have been through … not to play at the heart strings and complain … it is not of that … but how do we CHANGE that HOPING into a KNOWING?
The Federation of Light: By visiting s deeper part of yourself. By letting go of all expectations of WHAT MAYBE … and simply allowing the WHAT WILL BE … TO BE … WHEN IT IS!
Blossom: I do understand what you are saying. I have had this conversation recently … that no matter how much we seem to ‘FEEL let down’ through our own choosing of course … there is still this DEEP KNOWING that THE EVENT … the ‘You having a cup of tea with me’ … will ONE DAY BE a reality.
The Federation of Light: Yes … we accept this KNOWING … yet may we question as to how much of a HOPE is also involved?
Blossom: Well, for me … if we let go of hope …
The Federation of Light: And replace it with KNOWING …
Blossom: Yep! I got it. Truly I just got it. Thank you … I will definitely work towards that … yet surely it is not a matter of convincing oneself.
The Federation of Light: Not at all. It is a matter of transferring what one hoped for into … getting it!
Blossom: How?
The Federation of Light: By going to the deepest place within where all information is stored and ‘pulling out the file’ of that which you choose to create. When you revise this file you will recall its TRUTH and no longer ‘hope’ for ‘such and such’ to be a way of your world … once you KNOW it … you can create it.
Blossom: And do we get that deep inside ourselves by meditating?
The Federation of Light: Of course … and by many other methods… Joy… Love … Laughter … Service … Giving … Receiving … shall we continue?
Blossom: Nope … I get the gist.
The Federation of Light: The happier you choose to be … the easier and the sooner you KNOW!
Blossom: Thanks chaps /chapesses! I’ll certainly do my best. Like with all your wisdom offered, I FEEL it is to be received on a deeper level of ourselves … Not sure how to do that … other than just ‘ask it to be’.
The Federation of Light: We have so much more to say over time should you desire.

Reading the removing the shackles blog, I find it remarkable that many of us were saying about a year ago (intuitively) “Nesara is now” yet nothing in MSM. Now it turns out that this is exactly when it went into effect. We nailed it!

‘2013: The Space Between Stories’

Every culture has a Story of the People to give meaning to the world. Part conscious and part unconscious, it consists of a matrix of agreements, narratives, and symbols that tell us why we are here, where we are headed, what is important, and even what is real. I think we are entering a new phase in the dissolution of our Story of the People, and therefore, with some lag time, of the edifice of civilization built on top of it. Sometimes I feel intense nostalgia for the cultural mythology of my youth, a world in which there was nothing wrong with soda pop, in which the Super Bowl was important, in which the world’s greatest democracy was bringing democracy to the world, in which science was going to make life better and better. Life made sense. If you worked hard you could get good grades, get into a good college, go to grad school or follow some other professional path, and you would be happy. With a few unfortunate exceptions, you would be successful if you obeyed the rules of our society: if you followed the latest medical advice, kept informed by reading the New York Times, and stayed away from Bad Things like drugs. Sure there were problems, but the scientists and experts were working hard to fix them. Soon a new medical advance, a new law, a new educational technique, would propel the onward improvement of life. My childhood perceptions were part of this Story of the People, in which humanity was destined to create a perfect world through science, reason, and technology, to conquer nature, transcend our animal origins, and engineer a rational society.
From my vantage point, the basic premises of this story seemed unquestionable. After all, it seemed to be working in my world. Looking back, I realize that this was a bubble world built atop massive human suffering and environmental degradation, but at the time one could live within that bubble without need of much self-deception. The story that surrounded us was robust. It easily kept anomalous data points on the margins.
Since my childhood in the 1970s, that story has eroded at an accelerating rate. More and more people in the West no longer believe that civilization is fundamentally on the right track. Even those who don’t yet question its basic premises in any explicit way seem to have grown weary of it. A layer of cynicism, a hipster self-awareness has muted our earnestness. What was once so real, say a plank in a party platform, today is seen through several levels of “meta” filters to parse it in terms of image and message. We are like children who have grown out of a story that once enthralled us, aware now that it is only a story.
At the same time, a series of new data points has disrupted the story from the outside. The harnessing of fossil fuels, the miracle of chemicals to transform agriculture, the methods of social engineering and political science to create a more rational and just society — each has fallen far short of its promise, and brought unanticipated consequences that threaten civilization. We just cannot believe anymore that the scientists have everything well in hand. Nor can we believe that the onward march of reason will bring on social utopia.
Today we cannot ignore the intensifying degradation of the biosphere, the malaise of the economic system, the decline in health, or the persistence and indeed growth of global poverty and inequality. We once thought economists would fix poverty, political scientists would fix social injustice, chemists and biologists would fix environmental problems, the power of reason would prevail and we would adopt sane policies. I remember looking at maps of rain forest decline in National Geographic in the early 1980s and feeling both alarm and relief — relief because at least the scientists and everyone who reads National Geographic is aware of the problem now, so something surely will be done.
Nothing was done. Rainforest decline accelerated, along with nearly every other environmental threat that we knew about in 1980. Our Story of the People trundled forward under the momentum of centuries, but with each passing decade the hollowing-out of its core, that started perhaps with the industrial-scale slaughter of World War One, extended further.
When I was a child, our system of ideology and mass media still protected that story, but in the last thirty years the incursions of reality have punctured its protective shell and have ruptured its essential infrastructure. We no longer believe our storytellers, our elites. We don’t believe the politicians, we don’t believe the doctors, we don’t believe the professors, we don’t believe the bankers, we don’t believe the technologists. All of them imply that everything is under control, and we know that it is not. We have lost the vision of the future we once had; most people have no vision of the future at all. This is new for our society. Fifty or a hundred years ago, most people agreed on the general outlines of the future. We thought we knew where society was going. Even the Marxists and the capitalists agreed on its basic outlines: a paradise of mechanized leisure and scientifically engineered social harmony, with spirituality either abolished entirely or relegated to a materially inconsequential corner of life that happened mostly on Sundays. Of course there were dissenters from this vision, but this was the general consensus.
When a story nears its end it goes through death throes, an exaggerated semblance of life. So today we see domination, conquest, violence, and separation take on absurd extremes that hold a mirror up to what was once hidden and diffuse. The year 2012 ended with just such a potent story-disrupting event: the Sandy Hook massacre. Even realizing that far more, equally innocent, children have been killed in the last few years by, say, U.S. drone strikes, it really got under my skin. No one was immune. I think that is because its utter senselessness penetrated every defense mechanism we have to maintain the fiction that the world is basically OK. Unlike 9/11 or Oklahoma City, and certainly unlike the horrors that go on around the world, there was no convenient narrative to divert the raw pain of what happened.
We cannot help but map those murdered innocents onto the young faces we know, and the anguish of their parents onto ourselves. At the base of our Story of the People is separation, of humanity from nature, of me from you, of each from all, and this event united everyone, of whatever culture, nationality, or political persuasion. For a moment, we all felt the exact same thing. For at least a moment, I am sure, most people were in touch with the simplicity of what is important; I am sure many people had that fleeting feeling, “It doesn’t have to be that difficult, if only we could remember what is so obvious now, that love is all there is.” We humans have made such a mess of things, forgetting love. It is the same realization we have when a loved one is going through the dying process, and we think, “Ah, how precious this person is — why couldn’t I see that? Why couldn’t I appreciate all those moments we had together? All the arguments and grudges seem so tiny now.”
Following that moment, of course, people hurried to make sense of the event, subsuming it within a narrative about gun control, mental health, or the security of school buildings. Maybe I am imagining things, but I don’t think anyone really believes deep down that these responses touch the heart of the matter. Gun culture, we know, is a symptom of something deeper, and the violence that finds expression through guns would, even in their absence, come out in some other way. Mental illness too is a problem so vast that it is essentially unsolvable in our current system; it too comes from a deeper source. As for school security, a Chinese saying describes all the measures proposed: they stop the gentleman but not the villain.
No one would say that Sandy Hook was more horrible than the Holocaust, the Stalinist purges, or the imperialistic wars of the 20th century and 21st, but it was less comprehensible. Try as we might, we cannot fit it into our Story of the World. It is the anomalous data point that unravels the entire narrative – the world no longer makes sense. We struggle to explain what it means, but no explanation suffices. We may go on pretending that normal is still normal, but this is one of a series of “end time” events that is dismantling our culture’s mythology.
The evident futility of the responses that we are capable of imagining also points to this deep ideological breakdown. The responses are all about more control. Yet control, as we may or may not realize, is a key thread of the old story of humanity rising above nature, imposing technology and reason on the wild world and the uncivilized human. All around us, we see our efforts at control backfiring: wars to fight terrorism breed terrorism, herbicides breed superweeds, antibiotics breed superbugs, psychiatric medications lead to explosive outbursts of violence.
Looking back on the community schools a couple generations past, where children and parents could walk in and out of any door, can we say that the inexorable trend toward fortress schools in a fortress state is something anyone would have chosen? The world was supposed to be getting better. We were supposed to be becoming wealthier, more enlightened. Society was supposed to be advancing. Here I am in America, the most “advanced” nation on Earth, yet even as our financial wealth has doubled and doubled again in fifty years, we have lost wealth of a more basic form; for example, the social capital of feeling safe, feeling at home where we live. Is more security the best we can aspire to? What about a society where safety does not equal security? What about a world where no human being wields an assault rifle? What about a world where we mostly know the faces and stories of the people around us? What about a world where we know that our daily activities contribute to the healing of the biosphere and the well-being of other people? We need a Story of the People that includes all of those things — and that doesn’t feel like a fantasy.
Various visionary thinkers have offered versions of such a story, but none of them has yet become a true Story of the People, a widely accepted set of agreements and narratives that gives meaning to the world and coordinates human activity towards its fulfillment. We are not quite ready for such a story yet, because the old one, though in tatters, still has large swaths of its fabric intact. And even when these unravel, we still must traverse the space between stories, a kind of nakedness. In the turbulent times ahead our familiar ways of acting, thinking, and being will no longer make sense. We won’t know what is happening, what it all means, and, sometimes, even what is real. Some people have entered that time already.
I wish I could tell you that I am ready for a new Story of the People, but even though I am among its many weavers, I cannot yet fully inhabit the new vestments. In other words, describing the world that could be, something inside me doubts, rejects, and underneath the doubt is a hurting thing. The breakdown of the old story is kind of a healing process, that uncovers the old wounds hidden under its fabric and exposes them to the healing light of awareness. I am sure many people reading this have gone through such a time, when the cloaking illusions fell away: all the old justifications, rationalizations, all the old stories. Events like Sandy Hook help to initiate the very same process on a collective level. So also the superstorms, the economic crisis, political meltdowns… in one way or another, the obsolescence of our old mythos is laid bare.
We do not have a new story yet. Each of us is aware of some of its threads, for example in most of the things we call alternative, holistic, or ecological today. Here and there we see patterns, designs, emerging parts of the fabric. But the new mythos has not yet emerged. We will abide for a time in the space between stories. Those of you who have been through it on a personal level know that it is a very precious – some might say sacred – time. Then we are in touch with the real. Each disaster lays bare the real underneath our stories. The terror of a child, the grief of a mother, the honesty of not knowing why. In such moments we discover our humanity. We come to each other’s aid, human to human. We take care of each other. That’s what keeps happening every time there is a calamity, before the beliefs, the ideologies, the politics take over again. Events like Sandy Hook, for at least a moment, cut through all that down to the basic human being. In such times, we learn who we really are.
How can we prepare? We cannot prepare. But we are being prepared.
Oh yeah, and one more thing I am creating for the future. I think everyone, and I mean everyone in this world should have a chance each year for a luxury vacation, to be spoiled.
Now, who are the sad sap to take care of them. we all are!!!!
We could all volunteer to so say one month working at these resorts or less if that is what you desire and then we could all have our own luxury vacation for free and if its for free its for me.

Hi everyone, just checking in.
Had around 10 more nightmares last night but I think I got it figured out.
When I awoken from one at 345, I asked AA Michael for protection.
then, it seemed every 10 minutes a new one would come. Some not so bad, just evil out to kill me.
So in one of them i went into this room , a big room that was dark and evil, you could literally feel the evil.
i then got mad and said only beings of the highest light may come to me. Also I said I remove any negative energy from this room and replace it with love. Well, bang zoomhouse, instantly, the whole room lit up. I dont mean from artificial lighting, it just got bright but not squinty eyeed bright. It was like I rid the place, and hopefully myself of all the negativity from this and past lives.
Now walking to work, I asked Michael if that is why I was not protected from bad dreams, so I may cleanse some more, and, Now I am not 100 percent sure, but it felt like he said, EXACTLY!!!!

When I woke up from this dream, I seen a young boys, maybe around 12 years old, head staring at me from 2 feet away. It was transparent jand went away with a second. I was not afraid but I did do my protection again.
Man, I must have been a bad boy in my past lives to need so much cleansing, but hopefully the worse is over, ITS OVER JOHNNY!!!!!!!!!!!From the movie rambo.
Another hour to go but i already have called it a day or a week, actually a 3 day week. I wish every work week were three days. Wait wait wait, I am creating the future so I now picture 3 day work weeks for all, NIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
