  4. Waiting room brainwashing? Do you have headphone so you can listen to some music you choose for yourself? I have used that strategy in the past.

    Still have the internet? Except that today I can’t get to Alternet. org. I just get “Not found”. They have been running a lot of articles about blatant campaign lies and assorted election dirty tricks that must irritate the GOP and their backers. Of course it could be that servers are down after the hurricane, but I have my suspicions. Am I being paranoid? 😛

    • LOL well active meditation gives us the gift of tuning out whatever no longer serves… I wish I had known how to do that ten years ago! 🙂

      Also there are a few other sites (some of my favorites!) down because of the storm. It would be interesting if they continued to be down until after the election, huh?

  5. I get a kick out of the little red flashing bars under the newscast. It’s not enough to feel terrified, we need a constant visual reminder to do so. Someone has to design these things ahead of time. It’s pre-meditated terror!

    And then when they break for commercials I feel disappointed the red flashing bar isn’t there anymore. Does this mean I don’t need to be terrified during the commercials? Yay!

    I found it somewhat ironic that when I go to a health clinic, in the waiting rooms they have fox news or CNN news blaring on a TV at all times. I’d like to turn the volume down but there is no way to control it. And then those who are “plugged in” would probably complain…

    I am sooooooo glad I cut cable… it was symbolic for me of cutting the umbilical cord from the Machine!

    Well, I still have internet… 0.o
